Reddit is dead, i’ve been on there for 16 years, was on Digg before that, Fark before that. Something always comes along, nothing is forever when it comes to the web

When content creators go, there will be no content left. The average user rarely posts and when they do its nothing worth reading.

It’ll be interesting to see how much of the “content” is just bots farming headlines from newspapers, or recycling old content on a schedule. How much traffic is actually user traffic vs bot traffic? Makes me think of the dead internet theory.

I’m honestly quite happy mods are being removed. Reddit has had major problems for years and their moderators are HUGE part of it. The sooner the old mods go the better. I bet OP has removed hundreds or even thousands of posts and users with impunity and no second thoughts. They are only upset now that the same treatment they have given out so freely has now happened to them. It’s really poetic justice in my opinion.

Drank the spez coolaid or just trolling? The landed gentry argument is BS. If you didn’t like the mods, you could always go make your own community. It’s not like there was just one subreddit for each topic.
