The front page of Lemmy is mostly posts from 2-4 days ago. I can see people getting bored/not bothering to check back if it's always the same posts on the default sort.

Under your user settings on desktop, there’s a “Show read posts” checkbox. I just unchecked it like 5 minutes ago but it seems to be working.

Does this completely hide read posts or is there a way to see them again without going back to the settings? I’ll try it out when I get back to my desktop tho, thanks for pointing it out!

From what I’ve seen the read posts just disappear unless you check the box again. Let me know if you find something different!

I’d love this if it were a toggle on the UI instead of being buried in the settings.
