Yeah reddit sync is slowly dying… many links give me a 404 error
Hopefully at some point they will break completely, and people will be so annoyed by the official app that they’ll start looking for alternatives.

I just use Lemmy to comment fluff, so I don’t need a privacy hardened instance.
Unless you’re talking about the potential for smaller instances to spread malware or something?
Nah more concerned with small instances grabbing information and doxing folks. That type of crap. This account not so much, my porn account maybe lol…
