Should we all believe Trump is in dire trouble anymore? Is this just another “Big Problems” story that Trump will easily shrug off? Thanks to the media saturation, no matter how bad, it has clearly worked to boost his popularity to perfection at this point.

This story is about the lawyers being in trouble. Not Trump. If they knew their witness was lying on the stand, they could be disbarred.

What is a lawyer supposed to do if the client lies under oath? Surely A/C priveledge prevents the lawyer from testifying himself that they’re lying.

If it’s a murder case, you should tell your attorney if you’re guilty, right? But then you can still plead not guilty, and your attorney can’t rat you out. So how is this different?

An attorney cannot put their client on the stand or ask them questions if they know they’re going to lie

And instead of lying on the stand the accused (or sometimes witnesses) in the US pleads the 5th to avoid lying. That way you do not open yourself up to perjury charges.
