I like that bit of fumbling with the switches and dials that gives me the feel of something that’s been retro fit for a new purpose (which from a story perspective is correct) and that if I was operating these things in a physical sense then these mechanical elements just have to be in these places because that’s where the mechanics are.
I liked the clickly and flickly of their Carrier Command remake as well which has a similar vibe.
That being said I have had to restart my play through 4 times because I haven’t got the hang of the difficulty of each “mission” and a wipeout of my mechs has left me stranded and without enough resources to continue.
