It was me. I’m just excited that I published something and wanted to tell somebody about it. Especially something that might actually be useful to people (instead of just used by other businesses). It’s not often I’m let out of the data warehouse cage these days.
Here it is in case anybody else needs an app to remind them about all the stuff they have laying around that needs to be constantly maintained.
I also made the satire app Antifa Recruiter a while back and updated it today. Just in case you need something to pull out at family gatherings.
Anybody else create anything fun or useful this week? Or does anybody have any constructive feedback on Maintain that could make it more useful?
If these are open source, you should consider publishing them on F-Droid. I think much of your audience here won’t have access to the Google Play Store. I don’t, and I’d like to see your apps.
I hadn’t actually planned on making this one open source because one of my (optional) planned features is multi-device sync and automated data backup. And I was thinking I’d just do auth through the app stores. But I could rethink how that would work, it’s not like I haven’t rolled my own auth 20 times before.
However I do have a plan for writing an open source version of a utility that I made a while back to help devs/QAs create detailed and accurate release notes.
I only mentioned it because I think a lot of the audience here would appreciate and/or only use FOSS.
Actually, I think I will use this. This sounds like exactly the thing I need. The only deal is that it needs to be fairly annoying probably to remind me. I’ll grab it later on. Thanks for the heads up, this is very neat!
Thanks for sharing these. I was going to check them out, but yeah, Google Play store is disabled on my device, so the links don’t work.
An Aurora link to the app on Play would probably, or F-Droid, if it’s open source.
