I wish they had added an option to equip a full armor set in one step. I change my armor so frequently based on the situation at hand and only occasionally have a need to mix and match. I always wanted this in BotW and it would have been a really nice quality of life improvement in TotK.
Just having favorites for armor sets would have been so nice.
Just having favorites for anything would have been nice. Imagine setting favorite items for the quick menus 🤯
I agree, and I also wish cooking was easier/faster and that we could carry more meals.
Yeah loadouts should have been added 100%.
I kind of think that the entire ultrahad thingy might have taken a while to develop and the entire game revolves around it.
Even basic functions are missing, such as specific keybinds for the sages.
In general TotK is a great game but a few systems need to be vastly improved. Let’s hope a DLC will fix them or at least some of them.
Definitely agree about the sages. It’s nice that they are out and assisting in combat but I accidentally trigger them all the time because they walk in front of me when I’m trying to pick something up or they’re too far away when I need them or they’re all clustered together and I can’t get the right sage selected. There were four champion abilities in BotW and it would have been so much better to reuse those controls.

They could very easily have been a new selection wheel, as in, hold
down
on the directional pad top open the sages wheel and then select one.The armor loadouts would be excellent as well and for me, I would like a hugely increased horse activation radius. Having a horse feels useless in this game given that we have so many other vehicles to traverse the terrain(and sky/depths).
In general the game can take a huge amount of improvement.
A quick press of down is supposed to call the sages to you (as well as the horse) but in practice it feels pretty useless. Your idea of holding down to open a selection wheel would be great. The horse could be on there too for that matter.
