6·1 year agoData aquisition for analysis, AI training, tracking and simply having monopolized a space. Theres a lot of positives and indirect profit that might make it feasible.
0·1 year agoI know the argument for it being socialist but I really dont think its true. Government services arent ‘inherently’ socialist. And its more of an opportunistic mincer than some “diverse organization”.
Iirc, its also the case for skyrim on steam (though not sure which edition). So its not something new fot Bethesda.

Except for basically made-up edge cases and google integration (which you shouldnt use in the first place. Install a password manager), i havent seen anyone make a good case against Firefox. Googles anti-adblocking measures have made Chrome less safe and their current attempts to “DRM” the web points is absolutely devastating. If you use the Fediverse, its sensible to assume you care about a freer web. Google is working towards the exact opposite.

Yup. GloriousEggroll, the developer of proton-ge and wine-ge says to use proton for steam games and wine-ge for everything else.
