I agree with how unpopular this is! I’d rather have cereal with no milk than soggy cereal.

I usually eat lunch in about 10-15 minutes during a meeting so I don’t have a choice to slow down and get sleepy. That kicks in later on the drive home.
For me I think it’s the niche communities aren’t built up yet. If I’m looking for a conversation about a specific football team or game, etc there isn’t as much content here that I can find on Reddit.
Same. I use my gmail accounts for junk mail and have been moving everything actually relevant to proton through SimpleLogin aliases.
I’m giving T-Mobile a try soon since it’s $50/mo vs the $200/mo I pay for Comcast internet and cable (don’t use cable but it was cheaper as a internet & cable bundle for awhile). If I get similar speeds to what you got with T-Mobile I’ll be happy.
I’ve used Ubuntu, arch, fedora and PopOs and each one supported three monitors out of the box. Weird you have had issues.
On iOS Memmy is a really good app given how new it is. Just found out about Bean which is really impressive for just entering TestFlight.
I quit Reddit cold turkey. I miss sports talk and some of the gaming and workout subreddits though.
Good point! I’m hoping for some of the more niche communities to start becoming more active. Things are trending in the right direction though.
The jump in posts over the last month is incredible. I find Lemmy quickly replacing Reddit which is great.
On my laptop I have Windows 11 installed since that’s what it came with. I’m sure I’ll migrate it to Linux eventually but it’s new.
On my desktop I mostly bounce between Ubuntu and Arch though just installed Pop OS today to see what the craze is all about.
Lemmy is my new Reddit addiction. With Lemmy becoming more vibrant I’m missing Reddit less and less, though Lemmy still has a ways to go.
Memmy and Mlem are pretty good. Both in TestFlight, but I believe both are submitted to the App Store and under review.
Welcome to the fediverse!
This creeps me out for some reason.
Great update! The subscribed community page and profile pages look great now!
Thank you!
The Memmy dev has been crushing it with one update a day while balancing bug fixes & quality of life updates. I have no idea when that dev sleeps or takes a break.
Mlem seems to be taking the approach of doing less frequent updates with more content. The last Mlem release had some good updates in there, so I’m glad to see the swap in lead dev didn’t distract them too much.
I have those four as well! I’m bouncing between Mlem and Memmy, both of which are impressive, especially given that they’re still under heavy development. I need to spend more time using liftoff and thunder.
The Memmy developer seems to be releasing about one update a day with lots of bug squashes and quality of life updates. Mlem just pushed a new update and it had a good amount of updates as well. Seems like the developers may have different approaches (quick releases vs larger / slower releases).
Either way it’s exciting how much better both apps have gotten in such a short period of time.
Thanks! I’ll keep an eye in it, the more Lemmy apps the better right now. Needing to side load onto iPhone through AltStore is an interesting choice. I wonder how that will impact user adoption.
Same here. I lost my ~12 year old account. Been on Lemmy since. I find myself doomscrolling less which is nice.
