Thank you for correcting me! I got confused by how my lemmy app displays links vs links in comments.
Al Jazeera isn’t even reporting on it. The article OP linked doesn’t say anything about Israel attacking anywhere in the West Bank, let alone Bethlehem.
It just says people in Bethlehem are sad that people in gaza are dying.
The OP is clearly lying to try to drum up anti Israeli support by putting a blatantly false headline and hyping nobody does any research. Disgusting.
Edit: The first article was hidden by the way my lemmy app handles links vs comment bodies and i misunderstood what I was clicking.
Jesus what a trash headline. The article says nothing about Israel attacking Bethlehem or anywhere in the West Bank. The article only says people in Bethlehem are sad about what is happening.
Yes, there is a lot of bad stuff that the Israeli government does, but don’t blatantly lie about stuff that doesn’t happen like the truth doesn’t matter.

Honest question, what is Israel supposed to do? Give Hamas concessions? I think history shows that appeasement only emboldens terrorism. Back out now and let Hamas come back with even more local support?
It’s a lose/lose. There is no winning for Israel. It seems that either Israel makes itself a pariah in the international community by killing countless innocent Palestinians or it lets terrorists win.
I would love for you or someone to help me see a different way Israel can get back out of this.
I did until I got into Lemmy and tildes, now I’m mindlessly refreshing a different app now 🙃
NYT reported on the increased raids in the Jenin refugee camp: https://www.nytimes.com/2023/12/24/world/middleeast/israel-gaza-war-west-bank-jenin.html
NYT is still a pretty respectable source, plus it floats more pro Israel than Al Jazeera.
This article doesn’t specifically say anything about a Christmas day raid though.
