Well, he’s not paying until the appeals process is over, which presumably will go way into the next presidential term.

Just because you’re a felon doesn’t mean you’re not a citizen and part of the country. As such, you should be able to partake in democracy in all possible ways as well.
I really dislike this punitive mindset of completely ruining someone’s life for being convicted of a crime. People make mistakes, but we don’t want to exclude them from society, we want to reform them and bring them back in. So yeah, I think, even excluding all this political bs, that no person should have their right to vote or run taken from them.
Surely, hopefully, he is either dead or in prison in 2028, anything else would be a disgrace.
Doesn’t the Obergefell decision confirm that discrimination based on sexual orientation by definition is discrimination based on sex, and therefore illegal under the civil rights act? So why should this be allowed?
We have a great saying in Danish for people like you: “Thief thinks everyone steals”. Just because you think money’s all that matters doesn’t mean that applies to everyone.
It will. To change the constitution you need 2/3 of the states. For this plan to work, you need only 50.1% of the electoral votes to agree. Doesn’t matter if they primarily swing democrat, it just has to be a majority.
Yes, nuclear warfare is definitely the right path forward for the world…
A very succinct summary. Good bot!
That’s definitely true. That should still not take away from the accomplishments of the SpaceX engineers. ULA had the same exact opportunities but completely wasted them.
Yes, it’s a help, not the only thing they have going for them.
As someone who does know about this field, and absolute despise Musk, that’s not quite true. SpaceX is very successful thanks to help from the US government, and despite the influence of Musk, but also because they are a team of very competent people who have actually innovated and pushed the boundaries of launch vehicles. To say they have nothing going for them and are being propped up by the government is not at all accurate, and they have been much more succesful than traditional government contractors.
Bare rolig, jeg er tilbage på den rigtige side af Sundet nu 😉
Ohh, that reminds me of when I moved to Sweden. Their digital ID, bankID, is as the name suggests issued by your bank, not the government, even though it is used for all official authentication. And that includes… you guessed it, creating a bank account. So that was a real chicken and egg situation where it seemed impossible to be properly integrated into the Swedish system.
Yes cause all Muslims are the same as the Iranian regime /s.
Fuck of with the blatant racism/xenophobia.
When putting in ambiguous inputs to WolframAlpha, it does its best to interpret it so that it’s can give an answer, and it shows you underneath how it interpreted it. That doesn’t mean there wasn’t any ambiguity to begin with.
Both of those screenshots, the input is a fraction, thereby removing the ambiguity. But when you use the division symbol, an ambiguity arises. This is why you should never, for any reason, use a division symbol.
I think that’s the same in all European countries, at least it is in Denmark. I guess the old adage is true, the truth has a left wing bias.
No she isn’t? Macron is president until the next French presidential election in 2027.
