Even the non political .ml communities are full of power-tripping, ban-happy, thread-nuking tyrants in my experience.
I’ve been censored/shadowbanned in a couple .ml instances for calling out their overzealous comment-nuking mods. Not even political in nature, just seeing threads where 80-90% of the comments are ‘removed by moderator’ and commenting how suspicious it was.
Then they removed that comment, and after taking a screenshot of the new comment calling out that, I got shadowbanned and can’t even vote there anymore.
Must be because I’m on Voyager then. I can’t find a way to access mod logs through the app.
And now I’ve been shadowbanned. I can’t vote on topics there anymore. I know which user it is too, since there’s only 2 mods and one hasn’t done anything in 3yrs. Hint: it’s OP of the post. Is there a way to report unfavorably run communities to the .ml server owners?
Now they’ve removed my comment that was calling them out, and I didn’t even get a message on why (like I don’t anyway know the answer is ‘mod abuse’).

Yeah my post there got removed and in my inbox it was cited as ‘Spam,’ even though I was commenting on how that post had (as I said previously) most of the comments removed by moderator(s).
Tbh .ml is feeling less and less hospitable every time I interact with the instance, which sucks cause when reddit fell, .ml was my go-to. I don’t even want to use my .ml account anymore on principle.
New Edit: they removed my comment calling them out and I didn’t even get a message saying why (as if I don’t already know). I’ve also updated the link to go to the main thread, since my comments there get deleted by whatever fascist mod is doing it.
Idk if it’s actually a lemmy.ml thing or what, but coming from lemmy.world, every time I see a post from .ml, like half of the comments have been deleted by moderator(s). In general, .ml seems to have really heavy handed censorship and it gives me a really bad perception of .ml overall.
Probably wooshed since B and V are next to each other on most keyboards, making it a super easy typo.
I’m sure it’s shopped or from a movie, but what am I looking at?
I’m wondering the same thing, even though I’m certain the answer is “political or cultural authoritarianism.” If a product sold challenges a demographic in power, even if it’s minimal, that demographic will outlaw it immediately.
Example: article I saw yesterday about how Vietnamese gov told Steam to stop selling in their country because “the overwhelming library of games overshadows local devs” or something to that effect. The real reason is likely because of games that portray Vietnam in a bad light. From everything I’ve heard of the government there, the country is run by mobsters or similar.
Ah ok. The A-10 is a favorite of mine and this looked like it could be a variant.
What plane is that? It looks like a B25 but the B25 doesn’t seem to have the twin engines on the tail, but under the winds.
Man I been hyped for this update! I never played Helldivers, but as an ST fan, I loved that it parodied ST. I still remember when Helldivers 2 came out and the servers shat the bed, so everyone came to check out Extermination, then the population died once Helldivers fixed the servers.
Hopefully this update brings people back, I grinded max level during those two weeks, and I can’t wait to saddle my SAW extended mag with me to other classes! Aaaaauuuugh patch had to come out on my cousins birthday didn’t it?!
Using median makes it a loaded statistic skewed in favor of the minority (in this case, the wealthy).
Over half the country is living paycheck-to-paycheck, so that median number is already in the ‘well-off’ category by default, making them irrelevant to the main point of discussion.

Implying that there’s only one side to fall off of? Nah man this timeline is literally Rainbow Road 250cc mirrored online. There’s no way to win cause the cheaters control the win ratio.
Your pants pockets.
Nah, the fuckedness actually gets multiplied.
Even if it’s not an MMO, player count can be a very strong indicator of enjoyment/income at a given time. Even if it’s a single player game, player count can show how popular a game is on whole. If a 5yo game still has engagement numbers above newly released games, it’s strongly correlated with studio income/gamer trends.
They can base future decisions on what they did correctly/incorrectly, and develop their next game/dlc/etc with those lessons learned.
Release a game that has nobody playing after a month? Crapbasket. Release a game that has well into a million players despite the age? Fucking masterpiece.
