Did you end up going for the MNT reform?
Any love for Qobuz?
Sorry I sortof just lurk, did someone pass away or is this related to the comic storyline?
This is really unique, just take a peek at it and you will see what I mean.
Nalgene covered in stickers, as was the style at the time. Somewhere around 5-6 years old at this point? Been through quite a lot.
Cargo shorts are functional, you gotta rock the ol boy scout aesthetic.
As a man with a increasingly shiny dome, I wish this was the case. Until then I will endeavor with my unfashionable Tilley wide brim hat.
“Teaching sand how to think was a mistake”.
Oh don’t feel bad, my personal favorite and most expensive is my Pilot Custom 823. It holds a ton of ink and the nib is amazing
Mordhau. Terrible toxic community, developers that cater only to the super hard core players. Content droughts… Yet I somehow stuck 500+ hours on it. Playing the lute was nice though.
Oh nice, didn’t know that was a community. I’ll head on over.
This could be niche, but I’m a fountain pen nerd. I love stationary, different types of papers inks and nibs and how they all influence the writing experience.
I’ve been using Bazqux Reader since it’s a single guy and seems to work well. I also know that Tiny Tiny RSS is a super cool self hostable one.
6749 now, so the number is definitely going down. Hopefully some of the big fish still hold firm.
I think, at a fundamental level the Reddit I am mourning isn’t Reddit as it exists now, but perhaps how I imagine it did ten or so years ago, the so called “Early Days”. We’re all here now because Reddit at is now is unsustainable and actively hostile against it’s users. The contradiction between the need for monetization of the userbase and the userbases disgust at being monetized. This isn’t a recent occurrence but sometimes we need to get a bit of a kick to realize how bad its been, in retrospect.
I do know, as many fellow tech people do, whenever I have to look into a problem I haven’t encountered before, appending “Reddit” to the search often leads me closer to an answer. I will miss that, as it had become so well indexed. Lemmy isn’t there yet in terms of being indexed.
I think the presently smaller user base makes it easier to feel comfortable posting and talking, plus I feel as if many could be motivated to participate more because of the ideals the community upholds through FOSS. It certainly feels good to post here, a more guilt free experience.
A year or so ago, Capture One hinted at having a linux version, but they’ve since deleted the comments suggesting that “something was in the works”. If they did, they’d have a monopoly in the linux-space for photo editing I think. Darktable is great FOSS software, but it does have a learning curve.
Plus Geeko is the cutest mascot!
I dual boot OpenSuse and Windows. Windows being the main installation. I think I may try to go full AMD next build and main OpenSuse the main installation. I just need to get used to DarkTable instead of Lightroom since thats been the only think shackling me to Windows thus far.
I’ve been musing over it since they made the RK3588 processor module for it. That’s a much more widely used chip and there should be more documentation on it floating around. I just love the idea of open source hardware, and the replaceable battery cells are neat. I love the thick form factor too. I’m good with computers but I’m not a wizard or anything, which is my hesitation. I know the Reform NEXT is supposed to be more user friendly, but a framework is a more sensible option for a “normal” usecase. But it doesn’t have the pizaaz the reform does.
