ive been spending anywhere from 1-4 hours a day on reddit for the past…13 years? probably the most ingrained habit i have. Broke that habit as of two days ago. Weirdly enough, its not even that difficult. Its like i just understood that its time to move on, like a breaking point in a toxic relationship.
Only downside so far is having nothing to do during public transit. Not enough hobby specific discussion here yet, everyone keeps babbling about leaving reddit, like i am right now… xd
I personally used Redact, and deleted all comments from my last two reddit accounts. 2500+ comments gone! felt a little sad, but had to be done. I never want to support those ppl ever again
I really wish something like /r/Fitness or /r/Bodyweightfitness could gain traction on here! I miss the daily question threads and discussions about exercises, techniques, routines and things like that.
I wanna go fishing again. I love fishing, but I gotta get over my fear of touching slimy spasming fish…
i did it using a free program called redact, you log into your reddit account thru it and select a bnuch of parameters and filters if you want, or just set it to delete every comment from your profile.
been on reddit for over 12 yeaars, but i always abandon my accounts after a few years and start new ones to avoid having too much personal info on one account. Im using Redact to currently delete all my comments from my newest account that is a little over 2 years old, still in the process of deleting, currently at 700… this is gonna take a while
edit: done, 1185 comments gone! now doing the same with the account before that, currently at 1100 and still going!
Using Windows 11 with the StartAllBack program to make it look like a mix of Windows Vista (i like the look and grown too used to it back then ok!) and windows 7. Had a 10~ year old tower PC which i replaced with a Lenovo Legion 5 a few months ago, suoer happy with it!!
along the lines of fitness, something like r/bodyweightfitness, r/weightroom and r/bodybuilding would be great too!
honestly the spotify algorithm is shockingly good at recommending me new music. it knows my taste inside and out. And i listen to almost every genre, but have my specific preferences to every genre. Been on the same account for like 10 years so spotify knows me pretty well by now
