The acting and the FX might be dated, but the series and the topics are not, the old series still has its value and it’s worth a (re) watch.
It wasn’t the greatest thing ever, but it was a gateway to a reboot, it was a nicely done nostalgia-fest and it did a lot of stuff right. Was the animation a bit cheap? Yes. Was the story a bit thin? Yes. Would I still watch it and buy the blue ray? Of course!
And it’s still way better than a lot of stuff movie studios wanted to stuff down my throat in the past years.
Keep them coming they’re welcome here.
Good bot!
Look at OpenDrive.com. their interface might be dusty but I’ve been with them for 10 years with no issues.
OK but why ask for curated blocking (defederation, censorship) when you can decide what you want to see? Emails as protocol works despite the spam.
To everyone downvoting this because you can’t stand your opinion being challenged:
I invite you to a discussion here.
PD: I am here in the Fediverse because I like to challenge other opinions as much as being challenged, this is how we, how humanity grows, learns and evolves. I’m not here to live in a safe space/echo-chamber and being reassured, this would be boring and mind-numbing.
Get out there, learn new things, test your opinions, ideals and biases against others and see how they evolve.
How about you curate your own filters and take care of your own filter-bubble (or echo-chamber for that matter)? The beauty of the Fediverse is that there’s no central instance to censor or dictate the course.
Start your own instance if you dislike the open marketplace of opinions.
Clownflair is the ultimate cancer. Google, Amazon and Facebook were not enough, Clownflair had come and enshittyfy even those sites not contaminated by the big players.
Was steered? Because at this point it’s likely this thing isn’t being steered at all.
I ditched Reddit a few weeks ago for other reasons (I am going full FOSS/decentralised services). My Reddit account was 11 years old, I don’t miss it at all.
Nice to see smaller form factors coming back.
At least that’s what I hope. There are a few things we need to roll back though: Messaging needs to be decentralised again (think what jabber/xmpp did, federation between Google, Yahoo, Facebook etc etc).
There’s a reason email still lives as a protocol despite all it’s flaws and shortcomings: Decentralisarion and interoperability. The Fediverse can give us, the uses, the control (back) of what once was the free and open internet (usenet, gopher, ftp, http, smtp, etc).
Actually we’re in a fork of reality where the plot from Tron kinda happened, only there’s not one MCP… There’s Meta, Google, Amazon, Reddit et al who disowned us users, served us non-open, centralised websites and services.
Babylon 5, Battlestar Galactica TOS.

Done some weeks ago already. Reddit is increasingly suffering from what Doctorow calls enshittyfication and that led me to delete my account.
Bought as a costume? It’s a plot hole, you’re right.
