This one is still quite long
I wished he made his videos closer to the 20min mark
I’ll probably still watch it, but at almost 30mins it might take me some days to start it.

And the reheat button on microwave
I’m still mad that I have a shitty microwave now
That’s exactly why I do it
The s
option is very useful to split the chunks.
I basically always do a git add -p
Very useful command and it works with other git commands as well.
Everytime a colleague asks me for help with git that’s the one rule I suggest them to use.
We’re all gonna die so it’s still a very much true statement
And I agree, much more dramatic
That isn’t there so people use it. That is there so that Facebook can track where you go
Plus most people will already a pretty stacked library day 1 when they get a steam deck. I wouldn’t have to buy another game for years or even a decade if I were to get a steam deck just based on what I still have on my backlog.
And if I buy a game for the steam deck I can still play it on my pc whenever
But 4 and 5 > 3 so 1/4 and 1/5 > 1/3 it’s actually more expensive
/s
Fuck I hate how plausible that actually is. Not what you just said ofc, I’m not an idiot, but that people will actually say that unironically
That quote is top notch.
Every time I see George Carlin mentioned on the web it always is a positive surprise.
Yes that’s how it works. You save some money and spend it in other shit.
Also I don’t have a car just so I can go get groceries. I have a car for a multitude of other reasons and I can get groceries. Driving 5 mins to a supermarket has an insignificant cost, and if that supermarket is cheaper then you can save multiples of that.
Regarding the stuff expiring, that’s just your experience. I have the opposite. There’s plenty of non perishable shit that I can get when it’s on sale because I can carry a ton of it if I came by car. Meanwhile if I go shopping by foot and I need laundry detergent I’ll just have to get whatever they have at that time. You can save a ton of money like that.
For easily perishable food yes buying regularly is better but that also means a ton of wasted time going to the supermarket very frequently even if to get only a few items.
Not to mention that the grocery stores that are well located are usually more expensive. The cheaper options exist in less number and so it makes it less convenient or sometimes not possible at all to get to on a normal work day.
You can save a lot of money that way.
And I’m in Europe FYI.
Do you have a solution for running movies of off USB or similar with the Apple TV? I sometimes download movies or shows and I don’t want to deal with streaming them from the pc using plex as I always worry that I’m not getting the best quality. I usually plug a usb stick to my smart tv but sometimes it doesn’t pick up on the subtitles.
It’s literally all that is missing from Apple TV for me (plus the VPN thing that was missing). To be able to run media from an external storage.
Of course, informing them before take off would have been ever better. But then the plane still needs to fly, even if empty.
And the passengers can still get compensation, maybe even more than the refund of the flight so I’m sure that for many of the passengers this was the better deal.
Read the article if they had not taken off at that time they wouldn’t have made the return flight in time (Zurich airport has no landings past midnight). So not flying means that 111 people would not make it to Bilbao (without their bags) and a similar amount of people wouldn’t make it to Zurich (with their bags).
Personally, I would rather take the flight and get my bag a day or two later. Annoying af yes but at least you get some compensation to get some clothes.
If half the people are flying home it’s not even that big of a problem.
You haven’t met them in person because they are at home busy… playing factorio.
The question is what are you doing outside?
I wouldn’t say anything. You could provide a sense of belonging, guidance etc but many cults also do that.
Now, many also promise eternal salvation and the like and that is 100% a scam. Literally the same as snake oil.
Sure.
Western countries are under pressure by their own population to fight climate change. For that they need to implemente measures that reduce their impact, which most governments would rather not do as it usually comes with some “negative consequences”. Now, if they can make the problem smaller by having other countries change their way of living instead, it’s a win for them, because problem gets smaller, pressure decreases (or more realistically increases less) and they can focus on making lines go up and getting their votes.
So I don’t think that they will have a big incentive in keeping it private. Of course private companies will, but that’s a different story.
Hopefully that made sense. It’s late here xD
Due to the environmental impacts they would have a strong incentive to not do that.
Not because they care that much about the climate, but if they can make a significant percentage of continents like Africa and Asia reduce their food production emissions they they themselves would need to reduce theirs less
Quick 100$?
