It’s always the ones you least expect.
It’s always the ones you least expect.
It’s already in some states. Alaska has implemented it I believe and Nevada passed the vote for it once but still needs to vote again this year on it to switch over.
But immigrants… So you’re clearly wrong. You have to be! Immigrants!!!

I have this problem or it will play for like 3 seconds and then buffer for a bit, play 3 seconds, buffer, repeat for infinity. No matter what I do I have one of these issues with Firefox and any adblocker and it’s super annoying.
No no you don’t understand. Since Scar Jo played a female voice that behaved nicely and made jokes in a movie she now owns the rights to any female (or feminine male voice) that either: makes a joke, says something witty, answers a question, or makes a statement. This is a slam dunk case for Scar Jo. I will also be sued for writing this as she also wrote an email in a movie once that had words in the forms of sentences just like this post so I’m screwed.
Just think how annoying it would be if like the best players in the world were only good because they were literally Olympic sprinters and just ran literal circles around you in a fight lol
I mean I’d argue there’s some serious room to help out the consumer since the price of cars has been outpacing inflation pretty handily since around 2014 (and been beating it into a bloody pulp since 2020). There is some insanely obvious price gouging going on when the average price of a new car in 2024 is over 49k. There is room for BOTH higher wages and at least semi reasonable car prices for the American consumer. In my eyes if you clearly aren’t willing to help me as an everyday clearly struggling American today, then goooo right ahead and kiss my ass as I buy foreign if it’s cheaper.
This polarizing aspect of the whole thing has really confused me for this very reason as well as a few others. I think about it a lot like flat earth. In both cases the opponents or “deniers” for lack of a better term point largely to this like conglomerate corpo science-y entity that has a rooted financial interest in spreading these lies all for monetary gain. This idea that “big science” genuinely wants people to believe in a fake scenario of the earth’s clomate getting fucked by humans is so strange. And this works politically too.
Like I don’t have any research to back this up but I’d bet my left ass cheek that the large majority of climate scientists AS WELL as climate progressive politicians would absolutely love there to be completely no issue with climate change. Given the choice, not having to worry at all about that for the present and future would just be a big load off every one’s plate. Now I’m sure there are some people that have a lot of their eggs in the renewable, green energy basket and could stand to gain prosperity from society moving in a green energy direction. There’s no doubt. But something tells me that they are more or less cancelled out by the amount of people who are already profiting or stand to profit more from petroleum based energy means.
I just don’t get the whole realistic motive behind scientists and politicians pushing an agenda that they know to be false. Do people really think scientists don’t have anything better to do than just make stuff up? Genuinely? And it’s not like just a few of them. We’re talking well over 90% are pushing this fake agenda. That is complete and utter market saturation lol. I just can’t fathom how that would work. Just like the flat earth thing, what is there to gain from this for the large majority of these people? Like why?
The fact that whether or not I get medical care is almost completely determined by whatever insurance company I have at any given time is so depressing.
I have thankfully been pretty healthy in my life but the few times I’ve actually needed help I have been told to go fuck myself pretty much every time by my insurance and since I’m not a millionaire I can’t afford anything that’s not covered. Don’t even get me started on the Russian roulette at the doctor’s office where anything can cost seemingly any amount at any time and no one has any damn clue until the bill’s arrived.
So whether or not I need the help really doesn’t matter at the end of the day most times. All that matters is if the insurance company is feeling nice or not.
I mean c’mon lol you don’t even HAVE boot straps. Were you even trying? And this generation wonders why things are tough smh.
Maybe I’m dumb but I just fail to see how moving to a streaming platform would actively prevent you from making original content. Like I get people aren’t buying DVDs but they rent stuff digitally and pay to watch your stuff online. Maybe the distribution of money is way different? But I would imagine if anything it would be easier and cheaper to get stuff out in front of people’s faces now. Like way easier. Instead of depending only on a theatrical release or possibly a made for tv movie or straight to dvd movie, you just get it on a streaming platform or hell even just YouTube or some random website. You can spend as much or as little as you want on it. What am I missing?
If anything I think they’re just greenlighting all these remakes because it’s easy money. People complain but they still pay out the ass to see it. If they didn’t make money they wouldn’t make them, plain and simple. I could be totally wrong here but that’s just what it feels like
I’ve been in this game for a good bit now and while I’ve seen a bunch of go getters put in ridiculous hours and slave away and actually get promoted, I have seen faaaaaaar more just get promoted for being in the right place at the right time or, most times, being the child, spouse, in-law, or friend of someone high up in the company. In my experience your social standing or just plain luck accounts for about 90% of it. The other 10% isn’t the work you do, it’s the work they think you do.
The answer is they both suck monster balls. One just sucks less than the other at the moment. Just cause “trump bad” doesn’t automatically mean “Biden awesome”
Air Force One accidentally being bequeathed to Papa John is so damn hilarious I kinda wish it would happen
23 corporations, including T-Mobile US and Xcel Energy, paid zero (or less) federal income tax over the five-year period
So… Does that mean they paid zero taxes and got a return? How the hell do you pay less than zero dollars in taxes?
It may not matter to you, but I for one will never vote for him for president again.
1.5 and we’re just getting started! Let’s goooooo! It’s incredible what humans can do when we work together 🔥👏🏻🔥👏🏻🔥
You severely underestimate the power of religious dogma over a ton of people. A shit ton of people will forever be anti LGBTQ+ because they grew up with a religion that told them that it’s wrong. No amount of persuasion up to and including their own children coming out will change that.
I have no idea why, but my first thought was it’s only in “the John”. As in it was in some ancient bathroom graffiti. Just scrawled hastily on the bathroom walls, explaining all about the son of God’s legal woes.
