This might not be 100% what you’re looking for but I am running Reolink cameras and a Qnap NAS with QVR PRO. The reolink cameras are accessible through IP and some protocol I can’t remember right now. So you might be able to get them to work with your setup

Congratulations on having something that helped your life. That’s honestly great. But come on you have to admit they manage to find a way to mess up your personal time. I think they are referring to making employees miserable. Remote work has been very beneficial for employees. More time with family, more flexibility, and you don’t have a manager breathing down your neck constantly. So employers want the control back.

Then there is also political pressure from local governments who are feeling the pinch from reduced taxes in their districts. Got to bring people back to the office so they spend money in the district.

I got a rar file for work a few weeks ago and had the same thought. ‘RAR is still a thing!?!?’

I have 2 places like that near me. Both aren’t 24/7 but no one knows anything about how the stores are run. One is a cafe and the other is a gelato shop.

You would think the gelato shop would be busy during the summer but there are always 3-4 guys chain smoking in front of the shop. It is so bad they had to put a walled off section in front of the shop to keep the smoke from going to the neighboring stores. So pretty sure it is a front for something

Right now fleet is basically a community edition. They had stated there will be a paid version. So I am wondering how many features will be locked behind a paywall. Hopefully they have all the features from the beta available and just add some enterprise features to the paid version.

I really miss atom, would have been great if MS didn’t kill that project. It would be interesting to see how it would have compared to code.

I have looked at lapce and I am hopeful it will mature enough to replace vscode. I haven’t had the time to see if it works enough to replace vscode for my daily work, but I am planning on trying it again soon.

Fleet seems promising but not sure how I feel about another JetBrains editor.

A few years ago I think they were worth it, but now there are so many options they aren’t worth the mark up. Most of the clones work extremely well and have almost all the same features. The ribbon cable connections are the only thing missing that I have found

I normally use sudo poweroff I think it is an alias on most systems. I found it way back and just got used to using it

So far it seems faster than my pi3. The extra RAM really helps. It is missing the camera ribbon cable connection but I got an Arduino USB cam instead. I am just using it as a 3d printer controller running fluidd, so not really pushing the limits on the board.

The only issue is with their boot loader/BIOS. You can’t power off the board unless you run shutdown -H now. Otherwise it will just reboot. Since this is an always on device I am not too worried about that. It was just a bit of troubleshooting for my automated shutdown scripts.

Not upset with my purchase and might get another one for tinkering

I quit waiting for them to come back in stock. I ended up getting a Libre Computer Le Potato. 30-40$ on Amazon and so far it works just fine. The OS is a bit of a pain to install, but if you’re familiar with Linux you should be good
