When I was the kid, the house rule was French at home, English everywhere else. Kind of like your plan but stricter. Now that I’m the parent, the kids are in French Immersion school, so at home we do 50/50.

Around 1990 my parents would take us to the mall and say “meet back here in 1 hour.” I would immediately go to the store that had a Gameboy display and play Tetris for the entire hour, often losing track of time and getting in trouble.

RPG’s can be a slog. Go for Starfox or other games that you can play in 5-10 minute bursts. Jet Set Radio usually works for me.

Dosbox is for dos games ;) If they ran on Win98 then try them on Win98 again. Get something like Virtualbox and make yourself a Win98 machine to play with.

When you get comfortable with that, throw in a little extra casual strumming in between on whichever chord you’re still on. When you’re comfortable with that, try singing along too.
