Oh, no, he definitely knows he did something wrong. He just knows that if he pushes hard enough, there’s a chance he can get away with it. Trump is a psychopath who knows that rules are only as powerful as their enforcement, and he’s been weaseling his way by them his whole life.
The gun is popular with criminals for the same reason it’s popular overall. Oh noes.
As usual, the gun isn’t the problem. Gun laws allowing access to it by criminals are.
Fernandez’s former boyfriend.
This is an unfortunate fact (that he’s gay) that the Right will focus on to further confirm their delusion that non-hetero people are likely to be pedophiles.
Truly, you are a bastion of intellect.
Seriously, once you’ve got a dictator, your political opinions don’t matter. This is what I keep trying to explain to the communists on this site, but they can’t get past their corruption-free utopian delusions to recognize that China, Cuba, Laos, and every other country that has gone full communist has succumbed to corruption in all the ways they claim a NEW communist country wouldn’t. Capitalism may not be the answer, but Communism certainly isn’t, as demonstrated by history.
I don’t know if you want to know, but they define it in the article if you care to read it…
Just start taking your fucking meds, dipshit.
What I meant is that this incident didn’t really happen because of some sort of systemic gun control problem. Everyone was being responsible with regards to gun control, it’s just that some kids made a dumb decision and some parents weren’t around to intervene. It doesn’t matter how robust your gun control laws are; there will always be some tragedies. I’m all for stricter gun control laws in the U.S., but that’s not going to result in zero gun fatalities. I sin ppl y honk it’s worthwhile to accept it when shit happens despite everyone doing reasonable things to prevent it and not blaming every gun death on gun laws.
You make deliberately provocative comments and then chide people who get angry at them. You sound like a gaslighting psychopath, so maybe you’re the one who needs treatment.
This isn’t a gun control issue.
Seeing as California has one of the worst homelessness problems in the U.S., it seems like a great testing ground for this policy. Maybe if they pass this into law and it helps them reduce their homelessness population, it could potentially be adopted elsewhere.
That being said, California is no stranger to permissive laws with respect to the homeless, and that’s part of the reason their homeless population is so high, so…I’m skeptical, but willing to be proven wrong.
The article has a terrible, misleading, clickbait headline. It says in the article itself:
He’s required to stay in the hospital prison for life unless doctors determine that he’s no longer a danger.
So, he’s not being sentenced to life in prison. He was deemed to be unfit to stand trial for psychiatric reasons and so he’s being sentenced to an indefinite prison sentence, up to and including life, until his doctors deem him no longer a threat to society. Totally reasonable, given the defendant is severely autistic, was violent, and kept stating his clear intent to continue committing cybercrimes if released.
You might try reading the article you posted then, because it says very plainly:
He’s required to stay in the hospital prison for life unless doctors determine that he’s no longer a danger.
Everything about this is sad.
The article talks about it in some detail. Cats are apparently part of the parasite’s multi-organism life cycle. It does start in rodents, wherein it manipulates their brains to make them less fearful of cats, making them more likely to come into contact with them. So, I guess indoor cats would be less likely to contract the parasite, but I’m not sure if that’s the only vector.
Your cat is talking to you and your conclusion is that you don’t have schizophrenia?
The cruelty is the point. The evidence is clear.
I actually disagree that the cruelty is intentional. I think conservatives have proven pretty clearly at this point that they devote a considerable amount of mental effort to believing their views are correct, no matter what the data show. I think they genuinely think transsexuality is a farce, just like they believe homosexuality is a mental illness, and that they’re protecting children from bad influences by preventing them from transitioning. The problem is willful ignorance and lack of appreciation for critical thinking.
There’s a difference between protest and harassment. I strongly believe the right to express all opinions–even stupid, bigoted ones–should be protected, but that doesn’t mean you get to harass other people and try to intimidate them into submission.
Time for nationwide strike in the restaurant/food delivery industry imo.
That will never happen, because the truth is that these folks do make more from tips than they would from any sort of overall wage increase. Unfortunately, but not surprisingly, tip-receiving workers tend to favor the tipping system in my experience.
To the surprise of no one.
