Forgot all about Trading Places! That was a family favorite growing up.

Today we’re not doing anything, and it will be glorious. Tomorrow we’re exchanging gifts (my wife, the dog*, and I) cooking up a ham with beans and asparagus, and watching Christmas movies.

*she didn’t get us anything, but we still love her

I’m 50. I like to pretend that I’m 50 when it comes to work, but my friends and even a few long time coworkers know that I’m just a big kid. I genuinely feel more comfortable hanging out with younger people most the time. Aside from the occasional ache or pain, age just feels like a number to me.

This is how it is where I work.

I watched it when it first aired. I’m talking about popular opinion now, not then.

Same. It had some genuinely funny moments, although it usually got more chuckles out of me than hard laughs.

I could see that being REALLY weird with pauses where the laugh track should be.

Definitely successful, but it’s popular for people to say that they think it’s not funny, which is what I was getting at.

One more reason for me to get one. Dammit.
