It’s a valid question, but I just watched a press conference where somebody explained that these aren’t rookie pilots but pilots looking to log the proper amount of flight hours.
The questions he’s asking aren’t wrong to ask. The real problem, IMO, is that he’s the president and can’t simply post those questions publicly. He’s an idiot, though, so this is what we get.
But seriously, he also asks why the Black Hawk pilot didn’t do ANYTHING to avoid a known flight path and I’ve asked the same thing.

Around 11:15 a.m., the agents attempted to enter Hamline Elementary School, Chicago Public Schools’ Chief Education Officer Bogdana Chkoumbova said. School officials initially said the agents were from US Immigration and Customs Enforcement, which ICE denied. The district said it later learned the agents who visited the school were from the Secret Service.
School district already corrected themselves.
You’re going to look silly when this ends up being the nothing burger it is. Outrage becomes worthless if you don’t choose to apply it properly.
You ever think that, with the current climate, they overreacted before having all of the information? Why are you choosing to not apply basic reasoning to the situation?

We can either choose to make up crazy shit to get upset about and believe a headline that has already been corrected or be logical people looking for the real problems to direct our energy towards.

CHICAGO (WLS) – The U.S. Secret Service told the I-Team they approached a South Side school Friday. Chicago Public Schools officials had initially said the agent or agents were from U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
Secret Service said they were investigating a threat, and responded to a house. They said they were then told the person they wanted to talk to was at Hamline Elementary School, but they did not enter the school, the Secret Service told the I-Team.
The threat the Secret Service was investigating was not immediately clear.
CPS officials had claimed an ICE agent or agents were denied entry to the South Side elementary school Friday morning.
ICE said this was not a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement encounter.

Eugen has admitted, in some ways, that he’s introverted and perhaps didn’t have the skills to create the publicity needed to have it grab general public attention. While I have concerns that the new non-profit will become a Mozilla type entity with too much overhead, hopefully some useful overhead can be put into better marketing the product.

Whatever steps he could have taken to prevent it from happening (I’m not super familiar with crypto self management) aside, this still sucks for him. If I knew I had generational wealth right beyond my finger tips, I’d be obsessed too.

If you feel comfortable doing so, you could ask for insight into why your application wasn’t considered. You can try to phrase it around making it a learning moment for you: Can you explain to me why my application wasn’t considered so that I can be better prepared the next time an opportunity arises? The person being asked the question will be less likely to see it was an attack and more of a humble question from a person who values their insight.
