Why not?
I am the developer of the Photon client. Try it out
Why not?
Photon is available for any instance at https://phtn.app.
Alexandrite is available for any instance at https://alexandrite.app.
I don’t like when instances will host photon for anything other than the default interface, as then it’s just a more limited, outdated version of photon and another point of failure.
Wow, the new FCC law made comcast raise my generous 10Mbps upload to 25Mbps! It’s $80/mo for this shit.
MBFC of all things.
man probably said a slur, got his comment removed, and now dedicates his time to complaining about it
Other instances have updated just fine, the most common issue being nginx header buffers being too low.
I contacted them about it.
hello fellow client dev
I don’t understand what this means. There are no redirect calls at all in photon other than for /comment urls, and certain layouts.
You have not seen some photon instances lol. lemdro.id’s admins have been really busy, so I don’t blame them for anything. they’ve also been early supporters from the start of photon.
Here’s a list of ancient photon instances i’ve seen:
lemy.lol (so old that it literally crashes on load)
I really dislike when people host photon on their own stuff, and I prefer people use phtn.app. There’s greater chance for error and old versions can give people a negative view of the client.
Hey, I’m the Photon dev. I’d like to know which parts Photon incorrectly displayed, so far I only see tables rendering incorrectly. I’ll have this fixed soon.
Update: fixed table displays, pushed to main
Could this be updated now? 🥺 (you can test here)
What’s the origin of this photo? It looks really cool.
I don’t really see many benefits of this since it seems to take the same space as a normal laptop
Hey, I’m the dev. I fixed this recently
Is it just me, or do games always go on massive sales immediately after I purchase it?
They added that too!
I have mixed refresh rate monitors, and animations and stuff will use the lowest common denominator. So all animations will be in 60hz on my 144hz monitor, just because I have a 60hz secondary monitor. The biggest offender is moving windows around.
I regret checking this
I still haven’t encountered any issues on Wayland on GNOME. X11 is unusable for me because it handles multiple monitors poorly, and everything just seems less smooth.
Photon technically has it but you need to use your own libretranslate instance since I’m not paying for that.
