If you have the resources, yes.
If you have the resources, yes.
I read this in R2D2’s voice!
I’m sure you’re the first to think of this! You’ll be rich!
If he went to hospital by ambulance over the past few weeks for it, he probably is.
My neighbor has the same thing.
My original point was that the difference in how real it looks is not so great that it is outweighed by dangers of having a functional gun.
My later point was that they can’t be all that concerned with being realistic if they are shooting 30 times from a gun with a 10 round magazine without reloading.
Sure, but the difference between a real gun and a fake gun is not that great.
Also, they often shoot 30 times without reloading from guns with a much lesser capacity. Their interest in realism is often so-so.
The only reason to do it is verisimilitude, and that’s not compelling because a fake is easy enough to acquire/create.
Probably tried to be an officer and wasn’t accepted. A lot of people who want to be a cop start out as security.
Could be much more.
Dindu. Love it.
How long would it take to make it have above that threshold?
How many years left do you think he has? A year per violation is already more years than he has left. So, a year per violation just means more years he’d never serve.
Instead, a violation should mean something like a week in jail with no delays–straight to jail. That would actually have a meaningful impact on him.
No, because it doesn’t impact the old, white cis-males. They’re just mad because their pronouns are “fucking” and “awful.”
I’m not disagreeing. My comment was solution focused. Some areas have teams set up to help. Not everyone knows about them or even to look for them. So, I was providing information that might lead people to look around for programs that might help.
Some places have mobile response teams for mental health issues. Florida has a few programs being piloted right now. They have direct numbers. So, the police are not necessarily involved in reported events.
I hear X bucks can be used in place of the three seashells. Does anyone know if that’s true?
And it prevents “spur of the moment” decisions, like many successful suicides are.
It may prevent some, but at least some of the ones experiencing acute issues will still go for the immediate option. The bureaucracy of it will add a layer that I suspect will deter some. If it takes months or years, people are just going to find their own way.
I’m not suggesting that we just help any person right off the street. I think the government has duty of care once they are involved. I’m just saying the reality is that many will still choose not to take this alternative path.
Yeah, I was being flip. Everyone has the right, but having the right and exercising it are two different things.
