Sure it does. You use prowlarr to automate connections. It doesn’t actually make a connection to a particular tracker or use net host though. It just instructs your regular download client to download from a given source. If you want to use a source that is not listed, you can just add it yourself.
From the comments: “curl jam”
One down… how many to go?
It’s legal somewhere
I’d rather see us replacing train conductors. Why do we even need them? Why aren’t trains self driving? Trains regularly don’t drive due to personell shortages and they don’t drive in the middle of the night. Also trains are getting ridiculously expensive (in the Netherlands, due to privatisation) where self driving trains could be a solution to make trains affordable again.
That’s exactly it. It’s a living, vibrant community. Even if a post might be days old, there’s still a fair chance that your late comment will be read, upvoted and even responded to.
I like to think I know how to use a computer, but I mostly use my phone for private stuff. I have a few things running on my PC, but they’re all online now in my local network and they have a mobile website through which I interact with them. Even my TV runs a frontend for things on my computer. Computer stuff has become an even broader spectrum of devices and skills than it used to be 20 years ago.
That just makes job hunting suck even more. Now you need to also check whether LinkedIn gets you hired or passed on.
Not a particularly interesting article. Just more of the familiar story: “we need more forests, they are good for us” and “a single species going extinct can eventually collapse an entire eco system”. It is a truthful article though and I guess that’s worth something these days.
If IANA has all two letter domains reserved for countries, than why is there no .uk?
Anything can be political if you’re brainwashed enough
That is concerning, but Internet Explorer used to be the only option too. Of course things are different now, but I have faith (for lack of anything else).
NewPipe exclusively. YouTube has been unusable long before I fully moved back to FireFox.
I tried YouTube in Chrome on desktop (for about 2 minutes) and I didn’t notice any difference. I’ll just keep using NewPipe on my phone though.
I know. My experience with Chrome used to be good too. And we all know what’s up now.
If Firefox fucks up, I’m fine with abandoning ship and moving on to the next thing. I’m not sure what that would be, but I’m sure I’ll figure that out once we get there.
I recommended pihole to my senior webdeveloper. She didn’t know about it and was blown away by the concept. She installed it immediately and is now living happily ad free.
I’ve been been a full time Firefox user for three years now. Haven’t experience a single problem like that. Haven’t really experienced any problem at all to be honest
There’s also the old dns solution. That’s what I did when they tried to block torrent sites before.
