Deleted my 11 year old account a few days ago. I am definitely missing the endless content, but I have replaced it with Lemmy and started reading books again in my Kindle app, so I’d consider it a win overall so far
Been doing the same. The copying/pasting isn’t awful, but it feels so incredibly clunky. I wish it was as easy as searching and clicking a join button
This was my initial experience. Tried Lemmy, it wouldn’t let me sign up. Back to reddit. Tried again a day later (yesterday) on a different instance and it worked. People who aren’t so persistent might not try again though 🤷♂️
