I don’t have time to make a full-on meme post but I can lend a couple of beans: 🫘🫘
It got shot down. Not sure why news say “crashed”…
Just flip it, the top bars are for measuring from the inside.
Because of the plant it used to be made of. It’ a Gui Mauve plant in french, or a Marsh Mallow in english. Scientific name: Althaea officinalis
You gotta double it until it overflows to negatives, then you end up reviving billions of people!
Yeah, it never worked on 3rd parties either. It’s nothing new.
What a blast from the past. Yeah they were called Demotivational posters.
Google Lens says it’s a Signal Fly, does look similar!
The keyboard for password limitation makes sense though as a 3rd party keyboard could act as a malicious keylogger. Forcing the native keyboard prevents that.
I don’t see how a mirror could work. Would your account info/password be copied over to all instances in case you switch? Anyone can spin a Lemmy instance; anyone could copy your account that way without your knowledge. It is good that it lives only on one instance. Your old comments and posts will still exist in other instances where they were copied over but you will have to continue with a new account. If you want to collect karma it can be annoying but otherwise it will not make much of a difference.
You can set your language preference on lemmy at least. Not sure about kbin.
The admin of the instance running the community could close it but if it is on another instance, the best they can do is de-federate the whole other instance completely.
The lemmy.world community is basically c/lostlemmys at this point.
I loved the northernlion and nlsscirclejerk subreddits but so far I have not seen anything.
I actually enjoy it. Right after daylight saving time change, it’s dark around 5/6pm here. Christmas lights makes it more bearable.
