In your part of the world there’s no cops, no one owns firearms, and there’s just no crime?
In your part of the world there’s no cops, no one owns firearms, and there’s just no crime?
Absolutely not, I’m all for defunding the police but if your idea of a peaceful country doesn’t involve someone owning and being willing to defend themselves with firearms you’re just living in a fantasy where crime just magically doesn’t exist.
I mean idk about Jinx, she’s more or less just a traumatized wreck with huge guns than anything, but Vi absolutely. Caitlin will get there but her upper crust naivete that’s never been challenged until she goes to Zahn kinda stifles that. Hoping she gets a bigger dose of reality and it changes her character more significantly (just not enough screentime in the last part, really) in season 2.
quietly ignores Rebel Moon and her abysmal performance, and not just the writing either.
No, they’re saying that as a person they don’t really care about it when relating to characters. We experience things as human beings, not by sexual orientation or sexual identification.
Unless the specific human experience is related to sex/gender in some way, we feel what others feel and relate to them based on the character work and related narrative elements. Not just “is man/woman, please relate.”
Everytime a plane skids off the runway you hear about it in the news, sorry your congressman didn’t personally send you a letter about it.
Snowden wasn’t leaking military mishaps last I checked.
Maybe people just don’t find the same meme posted 309 times to be that interesting of content.
Literally every US mishap makes the news, are you high?
How many reeducation camps does China currently operate, again?
It’s almost like an author can write about different societies and not just one that they specifically agree with, but I guess that makes them “ideologically inconsistent.”
Well sure, but that specific focus I believe was pioneered by Heinlein in the same way that when you think of Asimov you think “AI and the three laws of robotics.” Along with his obsession with free love meta human abilties were his biggest returning concept.
Just because Herbet ripped off Heinlein’s ideas doesn’t mean he used the same format or character work. You’re taking me to mean “Herbert copied Heinlein in every respect” which I didn’t say.
Heinlein was writing about meta humans with psychic based abilities for decades before Herbert wrote about the KH in Dune. Clairvoyance and neutron dampening/excitement, eidetic memory, inherent mathematical ability (mentats, anyone?), control over human physiology, twins having quantum mental bonds which work outside of light speed limitations, the ABILITY TO ASTROGATE AND LITERALLY CAUSE MATTER/ANTIMATTER REACTORS TO FUNCTION WITH YOUR MIND.
Pretty much all of Herbert’s ideas about human evolution and the people that make society possible without thinking machines were based in Heinlein’s prior novels and short stories.
As if Herbert didn’t rip off half his ideas from Heinlein.
Aren’t these the same guys that have a stick up their ass about AMD and/or they get paid by Intel to be biased?
Not even lesser, there’s always a chance that a more extreme person/system replaces them.
Depends, building good games that establish goodwill and a strong franchise will make you more money in the end than the quick pump and dump mobile game candy crush bullshit.
The difference is that the mobile game model can exist perpetually in a state of pump and dump because the platform of mobile is essentially purpose built to be a time waster. Consoles and PC games are intended to be an activity in themselves instead of a way to take a smoke break, the ramifications of attempting to convert the standard videogame model to the pump and dump model has been successful depending on your definition.
Sure we’ve established that whales exist in every market and some people will buy every MTX they can even if it’s CoD or whatever, but we’ve also seen people who used to spend a considerable amount of money on games stop doing so, because the market doesn’t cater to their preferences. That’s the point Larian is making, you can create a true fan base with their model, you can only create addicts with the pump and dump model.
Oh well, the market clearly accepts paid cosmetics. It sucks for people who don’t spend money on it like me but at the end of the day people will blow cash on it and that’s why it keeps getting up charged.
True but they were back before the election and those same conservatives he appointed told him to cram his election fraud narrative.
Plus it’s just in favor of conservatives, not stacked completely.
I enjoyed it for what it was and was sad to see almost everyone disliked it that talked about it.
