That’s the joke.
Btw: Anyone made a /c/thatsthejoke or /m/thatsthejoke yet?

Is there a known downside to this mutation? Like increased risk of autoimmune disorders?
@Tenthrow That “kbin” link is only for kbin.social users. There are other kbin instances such as kglitch.social, fedia.io, karab.in, …
!spaceballs (!spaceballs@lemmy.world
) works for everyone if the community you’re linking to isn’t on your own instance (which is why it’s working for me but not for you; both lemmy and kbin are currently too overzealous at removing the instance part if it’s your own instance).
If you want a kbin link that works for all kbin users, use For Kbin Users [For Kbin Users](/search?q=spaceballs@lemmy.world)
Link that actually works: !neuroscience
Yeah, I’ve heard of this scenario basically the first time I heard about climate change period, and that was before 2004.
Apparently Elon has a thing for the letter X. SpaceX, naming his son “X Æ A-12”, and now renaming Twitter.
That’s giving him way too much credit. More like an Austin Powers villain, and even that is questionable.
Either that or it’s an innovation on kglitch’s side. Kglitch also renamed magazines to communities so as to use the same terminology as lemmy and removed the reputation system.
I hadn’t bookmarked a story in a LONG time, especially once I’ve read through from start to finish.
That’s easy: /c/[email protected] for the permanent link or !Animemes@kbin.social
(the latter might only work if posted from kglitch)
Basically, the exact same as for a lemmy community for lemmy users.
Part of my brain keeps claiming that that acronym must be a variation of Not Safe For Work, Not Safe For Life, etc. >_>
Lemmy community for kbin: /[email protected]
Technically the actual link is /m/[email protected], but if your kbin instance has no subscribers to that community yet, you have to first find it with the first link and subscribe to it, otherwise you get a 404.
At least on kglitch.social, using !newcommunities@lemmy.world
seems to work like a combination of both: Searching for it when kglitch.social doesn’t know about it yet, going to /m/community if kglitch.social does know about it.
!Animemes@kbin.social
Works!
To be fair the post rules don’t explain how the ! syntax works. !community@instan.ce
btw.
That’s also the only format that works across platforms.
I had never even heard of it, what made it special?
Are you telling me that Malicious Life and The Darknet Diaries are right-wing? Admittedly, I haven’t listened to either in quite a while, so something might have been said since.
If the ads aren’t optional and opt-in like in Brave, people will just create an identical fork except for the ads code being removed.
Thanks. That worked. How did you construct that link? As in, what was the markdown/whatever you used?
I gassed myself laughing from the irony. 🤣
Doesn’t Elmo get bullied enough without people comparing him to an egomaniac with too much money and not enough sense?
