Thank you for another great recommendation 🙏
Thank you for another great recommendation 🙏
Thank you for the feedback and the testimony – original blog post author right here 👋 I’m glad to hear you were pleasantly surprised and I appreciate the tips about opensource.com and The Cathedral and the Bazaar - made a note to look it up and read it.
one more interoperability test, this time from Lemmy.world to a self-hosted new Friendica instance. Hello @[email protected] - let me know if you get this! 👋
🥳🥳🥳 grazie! 🙏
Original article author here 👋🏼 thank you for posting the link to it @[email protected] - I was afraid what the reactions may be 😅
I’m writing this from the iOS app Voyager - interestingly, I didn’t get any notifications about the mention (my Lemmy username) but found the post organically because I follow the Fediverse community.
After a day of testimonies (from users on Lemmy, Mbin, Mastodon and Friendica) I am now determined to write a follow-up post with more interoperability tests.
I realize some of the problems I encountered - federation-wise - may be due to the particular instances I was using (on Lemmy and Friendica for example) not the software, so I’m going to create new accounts on other instances and try out interoperability again.
By the end of this I may find myself with a dozen Fediverse accounts LOL 😅
Thank you again for the great feedback and tips, I really appreciate 🙏
One more - testing Lemmy -> a different Friendica instance… ciao @[email protected] 👋🏼
two more: @[email protected] @[email protected]
Testing out comment federation, please don’t mind me 🙈
Pinging @[email protected] @[email protected] and @[email protected] (because, why not) 🙈
interesting! thank you for the tip :)
Thank you for the explanation! May I quote you in my (future) blog post about Lemmy?
I’m holding out hope that one single Fediverse identity will be a possibility in the future. Discussion here: https://thenewstack.io/one-login-towards-a-single-fediverse-identity-on-activitypub/
Thank you for the explanation! Follow-up question: if you follow a Lemmy community in Mastodon, do you feel like your feed is filled with messages from that community? Like, does it get noisy fast? (But I’m thinking if they show up as boosts I could simply filter out boosts in my Ivory app)…
Hello! Apologies for the belated reply but I was out of town and offline most of the weekend. Yes I’m seeing this in Lemmy too (and Mastodon). Gotta check PieFed now :)
