This is my biggest lament about getting a 2060 without knowing how important vram is. I can make it perform better and more efficiently a bunch of different ways, but to my knowledge, I can’t get around the 6GB vram wall.

Said it before and I’ll say it again: It’s crazy to me that tone centric fonts never happened. Tone is wildly important in all language, but there’s basically no good way to convey tone via text without stating the tone like some Newspeak shit. Meanwhile, we have all these rad fonts just hanging out on the proverbial bench, going totally unused, but I’m cursed to see and use exclusively good Times New Roman, plusgood Helvetica, and doubleplusgood Arial. Literally 1984.
/hyperbole (but I really do think it would be a fun idea and I demand a hyperbole font).
too bad unix time only has 14 years of life left in it.
Edit: this only applies to 32 bit Unix time. The 64 bit lifespan is a little longer, at 584 billion years. Whoops lol.
Useless RGB is overrated. I color coded my keyboard and it’s unbelievably helpful, especially for altered keys (ie: media keys/macro keys).
Nah, AU stands for alternate universe, I learned that when someone once threatened my life with Splatoon characters.
Pepperoni and green peppers, mushrooms, olives, chives!
Oh wait wrong song.
How do I know if something is Nuttable
?
What model, and could I get your opinion/recommendation on them? I’ve had a pair of “JBL Tune 760NC” headphones for a few months now and they’re okay, but the noise cancelling isn’t nearly as good as I’d hoped.
First off: Everyone who played the historical documentary Brutal Legend knows that metal was a gift from the gods.
Second: Miocene epoch heavy metal is my favorite genre!
As much as I so dearly love the word scallywag, it already has an extremely rigid place in my vocabulary as a cat-exclusive term.
Oh, fuck yeah. I remember it using nvidia shield, and I haven’t bothered with seeing if it works outside of geforce since I dropped that (fuck geforce lol). Glad to hear there’s an open source alternative.
I only know it as moonlight (been a while since I used it). What’s the Sunshine component?
As an aside, Moonlight was incredible. Used it to play PSO2 on my phone when I was a few hundred miles away visiting a friend.
No firsthand experience (yet. Subject to change soon though) but i’ve heard reports across the board that switch emulation is often superior to actual switch performance. I heard plenty of times that Pokemon scarlet/violet can run at 60 fps with no dips at all, where my switch struggled to hit 30 in some areas.
Hey, you’re welcome! I just thought it would be a logistical nightmare to get past the cats without disturbing them in your picture, and my brain ran with the idea.
On a related note: Check out the book “I Could Pee on This, and Other Poems by Cats”. It’s a little book of poems from the perspective of cats.
If ye wish to climb the stairs,
Then first endure our three glares.
For moving, we aren’t in the mood,
Though we may change our tune for food.
And a warning should our bowls lay empty,
Misfortune falls swift and plenty.
So please, appease us kitties three,
Lest ye wake in a bed of pee.
Ah yes, what a great superpower to have when your brain essentially registers every single noise like it needs your full attention, every time.
Framing extremely debilitating things as a “superpower” feels wildly ignorant and disrespectful.
And you shouldn’t have to jump through a thousand hoops design to prevent access at every step of the way.
How’s the rpi4 as a media server? I wanted to do that too, but i looked into it when the 3B was new and the general consensus was that it wasn’t really ideal.
As an aside, raspberry pi’s are so cool. My rpi3b running retropie/ emulation station turned out so great, and it runs way more games than I expected.
Dunno if I’m misunderstanding you or you’re misunderstanding the person you replied to, but Notepad++ is a third party program unaffiliated with windows or notepad. It’s also an astronomical step up from notepad and it’s free and has optional plugins and whatnot.
