Hunches and gut feelings. Dreams in waking life.

That’s super interesting, I do remember being taught as a kid how to use Google Image search (circa 2005), Gimp for photo manipulation around the age of 12 in 2008, we had technology classes with electronics, technical drawing, even some plastic bending machine, and light programming (made a robot figurine execute recorded moves in sequence)
I do wonder if it’s still the case in my own country
Computer literacy is weird because it feels like millennials were born into it and had to learn how to use the tools available… Then said tools were made a lot simpler with a lot less control over them, and Gen Z was born into apps and saas and did not have the chance to properly learn
We generally only taught a single generation to master our tech, I think it’s scary, but also I trust the Zoomers to figure it out, they’re creative
Oh you’re right thanks for the correction !
Oh that’s cool, I’ll give it a try, thanks for sharing!!
Some links to interesting demos :
Maybe https://writefreely.org/ ? But it’s very simple with not a lot of customisation
Or https://joinplu.me/ but its development has been halted lately
Yeah haha it’s really weird and I tend to switch between the “normal” way and the “french” way without noticing. Basically in french the rule is that if your symbol is “tall” ( ! , ? , brackets, semicolon, I think dashes as well…) it needs to be preceded by a space
French typing rules
I’m curious about your agile theory now !
Fun fact : Yam’s is the french name for Yahtzee
Replaced the Delta for a Huaying as soon as I could, ifixit kept being out of stock, but I managed to snatch one earlier last year, it was scary, and removing the backplate felt like i was going to break everything, but the insides are well organised, it was quite an easy repair / replacement
I couldn’t live with the hiss of the Delta, it was driving me insane
[email protected] is nice, wish it had more screenshots coming in !
Slowly finishing Thronebreaker, fantastic way to play Gwent without the worry of playing online against optimised paid-for decks
I also played Mysterium which was made by the same people behind Dixit (I just checked and not at all, it’s just the same mechanics with beautiful illustrations open to interpretation, my bad), and the game is a lot more engaging to me, but Dixit is one of the classics for french players!
I never heard of Flamecraft! It looks super cute 🥰
Oh yeah Jakub Różalski’s style is sooo good, there’s also a video game that pretty much has the same setting as Scythe on Steam, called Iron Harvest, I wouldn’t be surprised if he also worked on it!
Yeah it’s Oath, I bought it, I don’t even know if I’ll be able to play it with friends, but I need all the Kyle Ferrin I can humanly collect in my life. His cute critters and goofy faces and lovely sketch lines and textures are just so adorable
Edit : btw I stole the pic from the first image search result I could find that showcased nice looking games, it’s apparently from this article : https://gamerant.com/most-beautiful-board-game-boards/
Oh that’s a good tip, thanks!
