Here’s 14 used EVs for under 5k. Yeah, they’re not the greatest whizbang self driving blah blah blah, but I put almost 100k miles on a 2011 Leaf and had little issue with it, and my kid is still driving it to this day. It’s all you need if you’re just running around town doing errands. Rent something for long trips.

There is competition here, though. It’s not like it’s a single insurance company monopoly. You can usually get a better deal by shopping around.

It’s kind of funny you mention this. I just sat down and went through every insurance company I could find (over 15 of them) that are still writing policies here in CA because Geico decided to jack my rates over 20% this renewal. Literally every one of them were within $5 every 6 months of the price Geico is charging me for the renewal.

Ironically I would have been happy to help her figure out a solution had she not been a complete and utter bitch about it. Instead she got her ass fired for misusing company resources. I suspect her boss was looking for an excuse, 'cause this woman was a 100% Karen stereotype.

I had a lady in the marketing department open a ticket with us many years ago when ILoveYou was running rampant and we had blocked yahoo mail, gmail, etc on our corporate network and she was PISSED because “I need to access that for my other job!”. Yes, she put that in the ticket. That was a brief discussion with her manager and a resume generating event for her.
