I think bigots deserve the same level of disdain as racists and/or antisemites. If racist/racism has become a common and accepted terminology to describe people that hate based on a common trait other than race then I stand corrected. Sorry my attempt to clarify someone elses point has lead you to believe I hold hatred for any group based on their race, religion, or other inherited trait. And sorry if I walked into a talking point from racists, I tend not to interact with them online or offline.

If I hold hatred towards anyone it’s bigots and racists. What I’ll tell you I’ve witnessed is the racism against Ethiopian Jews by Israeli Jews when they fled to a country that was supposedly their promise land. So when trying to have an intelligent discussion about this topic I do think it’s fair to state bigots in Ethiopia forced people of their own race out of the country only for those that fled to go and face racists in a country that supoosedly shared their religious values. I hope this clarifies why I thought the distinction might be worthwhile. I understand language is ever evolving but I think there is a distinction between the origin of a word that is hundreds of years old verses what is still listed in most dictionaries. Again I’m not rejecting the strong presence of antisemitism throughout the world, I’m saying I see it as a subclass of bigotry the same as racism. Also again, whether I call someone an antisemite or a bigot I’ll hold the same level of disdain for them.

There is a word for that though, bigot. Racism is effectively a subclass of bigotry that is more specific. If we have a word for it already we should use that instead.

The end scene of Furiosa definitely has a large time jump. There was enough time for a tree to grow over Dementus. Which at a minimum is a few years. I would consider that to be enough time to rebuild gas town and bullet farm. Not to mention the implied time jump based on the her age difference. I think all the other minor discrepancies play into the idea that tales passed down by oral recollection will result in changes. The movie even implied that with the narrator talking about the different version of how people recall Furiosa killing Dementus.

I take all of it to mean that the major plot points are events that happened but the details, actions scenes, etc can be embellishments of each story teller.

It was disappointing to go through the saga of thinking I found a semi reliable podcast regarding health and current research, to finding some weak episodes, and finally arriving at the conclusion that his methodology is sloppy at best. The Dr Lustig episode was especially egregious. He let that guy make some of the most outlandish claims that I’ve heard. He made up statements about how FDA nutrition labels are required which was easily dismissible by a quick look at the FDA website. That was more or less the final nail in the coffin for me.

The biggest indicator to the scientific weakness of his podcast is the rate of release. It is not possible to do weekly releases on the complex topics he covers AND maintain the level of scientific scrutiny required to vet the referenced research or guest.

Damn a 75% conversion rate to permanent housing within 1 years is pretty amazing. This shows that most homeless people just need a little help, especially those that we’re stable before medical issues or accidents. Next step is to fix our socio-economic system so one or two bad events don’t put people out on the streets.

Another option is rocket language. It seems to be a lot focused on developing conversational skills. It’s is paid but not subscription which I’m a fan of. You just buy the language you want. I’ll also add that spending habit data is very valuable in terms of advertisement. We are in the age of very targetted advertisement. Just a random example: *user14555* on our T-Mobile app eats at a restaurant for lunch every Thursday. Have the app pop-up with a coupon from one of our participating restaurants on Thursday morning.

Restaurant will pay or give exclusive coupons to T-Mobile in exchange for these benefits. T-Mobile then hopes to entice more users by listing their app and “exclusive coupons” as unique benefit to using them as a cellphone provider. All the major providers have more or less settled at similar prices for cellphone plans so they lean on these extras as marketing tools.

The person can barely be identified. So unlikely this directly shames or affects him. Furthermore, I think memes about things people can address (weight, clothing, etc) is fair game. If they cared or it bothered them they would change it. I’ve had jokes cracked about my weight and I laughed along with it because it didn’t bothered me enough not to laugh about it. Otherwise I would be changing it. Now things out of a person’s control (skin color, height, physical abnormalities, etc) should be off the table unless the individual explicitly states otherwise.

It’s mind boggling that the victim writing all of this is still delusional about Amazon making a change based on this incident. From listening to what Louise read it doesn’t even seem like the victim is fully set on removing echo/Amazon, just “strongly considering it”. At this point they deserve every bit of headache and misfortune that comes from continuing to deal with Amazon.
