    Living in one of the top cities, definetly not making 100k - still a good place to live. I think a lot of them are on the list, because they have good public infrastructure and are rather calm (at least most of the European ones - the other ones I mostly never visited) - that makes it good for everyone not only the rich.

      I also live in one of those cities, I know public infrastructure is much better in Europe than it is where I am. There’s a lot of social issue here, it’s “nice” in the richer areas, but homelessness and the opiod crisis are big problems. If you’re lower income your options for living are bad areas or an extreme commute. Even then, those places are still highly competitive to get into, very small, and likely to cost 50%+ of your monthly income.

      The overlap of this list and the list of cities with the highest cost of living is significant.
