This reads like a horror story to me who‘s on the spectrum.
The goals are not the goals, there is always something else go do and the stuff you do is not worth much if you don‘t go beyond.
It’s a perfect depiction of the neurotypical world around us. Everything is spightly different than it seems and nothing that you do „correct“ will be rewarded. No wonder people get burned out. Oh, and if you define the goals correctly, you „micromanage“ are a „perfectionist“.
