It’s a registered 501c3. Whatever anybody’s opinions, it’s a legal charity.
There is a common thread in your complaints. This isn’t a problem that’s going to kill the fediverse it’s a problem with instances without moderation. Turns out shitty instances that don’t care about moderation are the same ones that “have a policy to not defederate from anything”. Stop joining shitty instances that allow literally illegal content and you won’t have that problem.
The 2 is mostly used by the OS. Yes, it would be better if it was all faster but it still wouldn’t be used by the GPU as it’s segmented.
It’s all moot to my original point though. Having more RAM isn’t some miracle or a sign it will be faster.
It’s certainly thankless but is it a job if you don’t get paid?
You’re highlighting the slower 2GB but in reality that’s not used by games in the first place. They’re relegated to the 8GB which is significantly faster.
The Steam Deck has essentially 2x the available memory but it’s much slower. The point being “having more RAM” isn’t some amazing feat. It really depends on all the involved specs. Even amount/bandwidth isn’t enough. GDDR has much higher bandwidth than DDR or LPDDR but it’s also higher latency. It’s tuned for graphics, not system RAM depending on the work load one can be faster than the other.
Having more RAM than the series S doesn’t translate to “having hardware with some oomph”. The series S is memory starved. 10GB was a small amount even when it launched.
So does the Steam Deck and some phones.
if a third party sues a commercial customer for copyright infringement for using Microsoft’s Copilots or the output they generate, we will defend the customer and pay the amount of any adverse judgments or settlements that result from the lawsuit
It doesn’t address lost revenue or any other blow back from having to take down your content but it does say they will pay any judgement/settlement costs.
None of those are valid arguments, especially e-waste. It’s literally the opposite, fairphone is gaslighting.
Yeah, I mostly use bluetooth with my phone but not always. Sometimes it’s not possible and you just need to use an aux cable or wired headset.
A lot of phones are still limited to USB 2.0 speeds anyway and wireless won’t be all that much slower and could potentially be faster.
Not supporting microSD annoys me a lot too. Especially on some phones that still have a dual SIM slot but don’t support microSD on one of them. It’s not even space at that point.
It’s why I’m getting a Zenfone to replace my ~6 year old phone now instead of a Fairphone. It even has a far better IP rating than the fairphone despite the “horrible” water intrusion supposedly caused by 3.5mm jacks.
Fairphones lying BS about why they removed the port convinced me to never buy one of their phones, even if I didn’t care about it.
No, it wouldn’t. That would lead to more and worse violence as Russia continues it genocide.
The brigade of sealions is insufferable and interacting with them won’t help.
No need to use an ableist slur to make your point. It adds nothing and makes it easy to dismiss.
Take it out and your otherwise correct.
So, you didn’t read the article? The fear is not about peace talks, it’s about support from the US forcing them while Ukraine is making progress.

Ok, yeah I can see that reading it again. Probably my own biases causes me to ignore that part initially. Thanks for pointing it out.
