Why YSK this is that when I was 13 I saw a YouTube video (back in the wee early days) and I saw this experiment where two people put a grape in the microwave, in a jar. Well, I thought that it was cool, so I did it myself. And that’s when it got bad. I put an entire grapevine in the microwave with no jar to encase them and wouldn’t you believe it, instead of a fire it just made a really sticky and slimy mess.🤢 Would not recommend -1/10
That happens with eggs too. One of the reasons i don’t have a microwave.
That and the how everything cooked/warmed in one becomes a soggy mess.
I’ve been known to start heating things up in the microwave and then move them to the toaster oven.
Not grapes, though. 😊
Recently bought the instant pot air fryer combo unit (on sale, ~$100 off) and a new range, and have been consciously avoiding microwaving anything since then. The only exceptions are things that are meant to be microwaved, but those are rare. The perceived quality of everything I eat has skyrocketed!
Sounds like a fun time to me
Chickpeas and beans as well. My microwave looks like a Pollock
I learned early on that raw eggs explode in the microwave. Thankfully I put it in a paper lunch bag first, so there wasn’t a huge mess. Just The Smell. Don’t. Really.
You can microwave to boil them in water I think. Haven’t tried it myself though
Anything wet on the inside and hard on the outside will do that - be careful!
Wait till you find out what happens to a guinea pig in the micro. Wanna have some stupid fun? Put a fork in one.
